How do I reserve a room?

To reserve a room please email buddha@siargaosurf.com – you will be required to pay a 50% deposit.  If paying by paypal we add 6% to cover fees and tax.

Does the resort offer Airport Transfers?

Yes we do, the cost is 300PHP/person/trip.  You will ride in an aircon van and be met at the airport by our driver with a noticeboard.  Just let us know if you would like an airport transfer on reservation.

 

Are towels and linen provided at the accommodation?

Yes we provide towels and linen.

 

What should I bring?

Suggestions: Rash vest, reef boots, sunblock/zinc, dry bag, light-weight raincoat (Nov-March), tampons.

Are surfboards available to buy/rent at the resort?

Yes, we have a number of different boards to buy and rent.

 

How far to the beach?

The beach is across the road and takes less than a minute to walk to.  The beach in our area is white sand unlike the mossy reef of cloud 9.

 

When is the Siargao wet season?

The wet season in Siargao is generally December – March.  Although we get a lot of wind and rain during this time we still get periods (sometimes weeks) of good weather.

 

Do I need a visa for the Philippines?

Yes – but you are given a free 30 day visa on arrival without prior application. This can then be extended by paying around 3,000PHP for a further 30 days at any immigration office (nearest being Surigao City).

 

How is the surf localism in Siargao?

The surf tourism is relatively new in Siargao and most the surf spots are uncrowded, apart from Cloud 9 which is often crowded.  Local surfers on the whole are very friendly and mix well with tourists. Respect the locals and surf etiquette and you will be fine.

 

Does Siargao have Malaria or Dengue?

There are no cases of malaria or dengue originating from Siargao in the last 5 years.

 

Are motorbikes available for hire at the resort?

Yes, a Honda XRM with surf-rack costs 450PHP/day.

 

Is there an ATM on the Island?

Yes and no, there is an ATM located in Dapa but it only accepts some cards and is often not working.

 

Does the resort accept credit card?

At present no.

 

Does the resort accept PayPal?

Yes but we add 6% to cover PayPal and bank fees. (4.5% fee by PayPal to receive money, 1.5% fee by PayPal to withdraw)

 

Does the resort accept different currency?

Yes we accept currency from: America, Canada, Australia, Europe and England.

 

What happens if I cancel my reservation?

If you cancel your reservation more than 24 hours before your booking date we issue a 35% refund of your 50% deposit.

If you cancel within 24 hours of your reservation we cannot issue any refund.

Failure to arrive at the hotel will be treated as a No-Show and no refund will be given (Hotel policy).
